Oh, leave the caterpillars in peace
Let them hide among the leaves

Let them nibble to grow and grow
Let them become happy fellows

Oh, when they have eaten enough
Watch them change themselves

Watch them change their identity
Watch them display their beauty

Oh, when they open up their wings
See them flutter about in glee

See them fly higher and higher
See them dance to their hearts desire

When they disappeared from sight
They left my mind wondering

Why mankind can enjoy a longer life
But can’t be peaceful as the butterflies.
