BUILDING AND FACILITIES

Any respectable research university, seeking conventions and exhibitions of national and international
UM Conference Centre
international stature, needs to have a conference stature has been one of University of Malaya’s most
centre for its continuing education activities such productive activities. This refects the continuing efforts
as conferences, seminar , short term courses, of the dynamic campus community to bring the University
exhibitions, etc. Hosting conferences, seminars, to greater heights as a centre for learning and research
within the region and beyond.
At the moment, such events are undertaken by different
faculties, at different venues, dispersed throughout
the campus. What the University needs therefore is a
central building that can not only accommodate such
events but to also house the management offces that
would ensure greater professionalism in the organisation
of such events. To make it totally cost-effective,
this building will also be used for examinations and
interviews. This multipurpose building will truly represent
the best of what University of Malaya stands for –
professionalism, dynamism and strength of purpose.
